Photographing Every Country in the World, Overland.

The Plan

I flew to Toronto on the 14th of September 2007 and I’m starting the long south to Tierra del Fuego in Chile. For the US and Central America I am driving my own vehicle, bought in the Boston, a ’98 Dodge Minivan, and could probably do with some help with the gas and driving. Click the ‘ ‘ link above for more info. I have driven coast to coast before in 94 on my first big adventure.

I plan on buying a bike, an inflatable kayak, a guitar & bongos and some fishing rods on the way to keep myself fit and amused. Accommodation will be , couchsurfing, sleeping in the minivan and the occasional motel room. I would like to see the Space Shuttle take off (done), the Keys (done), New Orleans (yep), Graceland (nope :( ), Vegas (yay!), The Canyon (aye), and hopefully Alaska (too far too cold ), although I’m very flexible and have no real itinerary. I will probably be stopping in somewhere in Central America for 6 months to write, surf, dance and maybe teach English before continuing to my second to last continent to visit, South America. I want to improve my and speak fluent Spanish as soon as possible. I also intend to focus (heh) on my Photography, and will be offering prints for sale on my site, candids, landscape, night shots and portraits.

When I get as far south as I can I will visit the Falkland isles (and Antarctica if I win the lottery) and then head back up the east coast and try to head back to Europe/Africa on a yacht. Then I will continue my Guinness Book of Rejects attempt to visit every country in the world overland.

At the moment I am trying to become a professional photographer. We’ll see how that works out…
