Back in Mexico

I’ve just had a few more days in the capital doing random tourist things. I went back to Hostel Amigo, despite my better judgment, but it seems this time the noise didn’t bother me as much. What bothered me was finding out I was paying 120 pesos for my room and other people were booking online and only paying 70! I certainly missed a trick there.

I made friends with 3 sisters from South Africa, Sarrane, Caryn and Lauren and will be giving them a lift down to Oaxaca and then onto Puerto Escondido. Free surfing lessons might also be on the cards, although I could probably do with a few myself. I still didn’t do all the tourist things I had planned on but it was more fun to do random things with Saranne for a few days than wander around museums on my own. We went to the main market (disgusting animal section, no water in the cages and most of the poor creatures were sharing their cages with dead relatives!), Cultural Museum and post office. I also went to see the new Indiana Jones movie which was rather crap.
