Snoring Bears in the wood

The 2 polish Andres and I had stayed awake until 4.30am didn’t turn up until the next morning, seems like they had a long night and they crashed right away. I spent an hour rearranging my for the trip I had arranged through couchsurfing. We (well it wasn’t just me) were a bit dissorganised though and we didn’t leave montreal until gone noon and we still needed to go food shopping for the trip. The attendees were myself, Renae from Perth Australia, Mouina from Morrocco and from . The last two are studying in Montreal and saw it as a good chance to see some of the local flora and fauna near their new home cities. We stopped off on the Interstate and stocked up on Tortillas, fruit and Beer.

La Mauricie wasn’t that far away, just a couple of hours from Montreal on the highway and we had Jane from TomTom telling us the way so wasn’t hard to find. We booked in and were given a campsite in a forested area with woods between the sites which was quite nice. You back up your car, set up the by your own fire grill and bench and wait for the invasion of chipmunks. We had tortillas on the menu, but after we made grandmas guacamole with chips and started on the beer it kind of got forgotten. After a 40 minute walk around the site we settled in for an cold night huddled around the fire, toasting marshmallows on dirty sticks, accidentaly insulting each other (well, it was mostly me but….).
